Individual Blessing DAYS/Saraswati Diksha – (Free Public Program)
Friday, May 24, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Individual Blessings are offered on a first come, first served basis. Please be prepared to relax for some time in the charged atmosphere of the hall. Due to the large number of people attending this program, individuals arriving after 2:30 pm are not guaranteed an Individual Blessing with Amma.
(Please note: Each person may only receive one individual blessing per yearly tour. First time attendees who have never received an individual blessing from Amma before will be given priority in the group)..
Saraswati Mantra Diksha is available for students, ages 4-24. Those who wish to receive Diksha should come fully bathed or showered (with head and hair washed) and dressed in modest, white attire. Saraswati Diksha is offered periodically throughout the day, as groups of students coalesce.
While Individual Blessings are free, there is a nominal suggested donation for Saraswati Mantra Diksha.

Directions
- From I-95 (also 495, Capital Beltway), take exit 20-A, Lahnam (Rte 450 East). Then follow the signs to Princess Garden Parkway. Turn right on Princess Garden Parkway. ‘Murugan Temple’ is on your left within half a mile (6300 Princess Garden Parkway)
- From Baltimore-Washington Parkway take Exit to Rt. 193 East Greenbelt Road. Make left on Greenbelt Road. Turn right on Hanover Parkway, which becomes Princess Garden Parkway. Drive about 2.5 miles. The temple is on the right side.
- Metro (Bus/Rail) Option Take Metro-Orange line towards “New Carrolton”.
– Last stop is “New Carrolton”, get off and take MTA Bus – R12 towards “Greenbelt”.
– R12 travels via “Princess Garden Parkway”. Get off at or around “6300 Princess Garden Parkway” and you’re right in the front of the temple.
- Travelling Via Train From Out-Of-State Take Amtrak from where you are to Washington-DC/Union Station. Get off at the Union Station stop and walk across to the local Metro line. Then take Metro-Orange line towards “New Carrolton”.
– Last stop is “New Carrolton”, get off and take MTA Bus – R12 towards “Greenbelt”.
– R12 travels via “Princess Garden Parkway”. Get off at or around “6300 Princess Garden Parkway” and you’re right in the front of the temple.

One Day Meditation Retreat – (Half-Day options are also available)
Saturday, May 25, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
We cordially invite you to join Amma for a one-day silent meditation retreat in Washington D.C. All meditators, from beginners to those with an established practice, will benefit from the special retreat atmosphere. Participants will be spiritually nourished by Amma’s serene presence, silent meditations, discourses and spiritual chanting.
Based on the success of last year’s retreats, Amma has graciously offered to continue having one-day retreats as part of her 2018 Tour. They are being offered so that more people can take advantage of this precious time with Amma in a retreat setting without disrupting their busy schedules. The retreats will provide an invaluable opportunity for devotees to deepen their meditation practice and to listen to the inspirational wisdom of Amma’s divine discourses.
Amma has specially designed her one-day meditation retreats so that all who attend will derive the most benefit. For this purpose, participants are requested to maintain silence throughout the retreat.
You will receive a confirmation letter with more information, including guidelines on what to bring to the retreat, after your registration form has been processed. Refunds will be given through March 16th only (with $15 cancellation fee). No refunds after this date.

- Full-day or half-day registration is available
- Participants are also requested to wear modest, white attire to the retreat
- The morning session concludes after lunch. The afternoon session begins with lunch
- Light breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided for half- and full-day attendees
- Accommodations are not included for one-day retreats
- Children under 17 years of age need special permission to attend the retreat
- Amma does not grant personal interviews during meditation retreats

Homa Sacred Fire Ceremony – (Free Public Program)
Sunday, May 26, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Homa is the most ancient and sacred ceremony in the Vedic tradition of Sanatana Dharma. It is a fire in which forms of the Divine are invoked through the power of mantra and profound spiritual intention. Special offerings are cast into the fire while Sanskrit mantras are chanted, and the combined energy of the fire, offerings, and mantras generates powerful spiritual vibrations that bless and purify everyone present, spreading peace and healing through the world.
Things to know and bring
- Please wear clean, modest attire that covers the knees and shoulders
- Bring a pillow or blanket if you plan on sitting on the ground. Chairs are also provided
- Please turn all beepers and cell phones off or to blink/vibrate mode so that others are not disturbed
- Please do not take photos without special permission beforehand. Video and audio-taping are not permitted

Spiritual Picnic & Divine Discourse – (Free Public Program)
Monday, May 27, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
We warmly invite you to join Amma for a spiritual picnic and divine knowledge/discourse on Monday, May 27 from 10 AM to 3 PM at the Patapsco Valley State Park Near Catonsville, MD. This talk is free and open to the public for all to attend. Participants will be spiritually nourished by Amma’s serene presence, and profound divine knowledge. This program is free and open to the public.
