Embodiment of Divine Souls, since the tragedy in Mumbai, we have been lighting lamps and offering prayers for the peace of all the innocent souls that lost their lives in the horrible incidents at the petrol bunk bomb blast, at the train station, at the Nariman House, at the Oberoi hotel, and at the Taj Palace. The terrorists came with a plan of killing 5,000 people. These men are in such a pathetic mental state of tamas (mental and spiritual darkness) that they are not aware of how much heartache and tears they are causing to all the victims and their families. The fruits of these bad karmas will haunt them in the future for thousands of births. I continue to pray that all those that are hospitalized with serious injuries in this tragic incident should return to good health very soon.

Looking at this human massacre, none of us could take even a sip of water for days. We could not watch the Taj Palace engulfed in blazing flames. The kind of destruction and the killing spree that the terrorists have ventured in with the hearts of a demon has put the entire humanity to shame. The problem of terrorism is not limited only to India—this is an international problem. In this time of crisis, all nations must fight this scourge together in a united manner. We are already witnessing how many people worldwide are suffering from poverty, lack of food, and lack of shelter. We have to be so ashamed when there is no protection to the lives of the people as well.

When it comes to controlling terrorism, all governments must tread with purity in their thoughts. All nations must unite in fighting terrorism throughout the world without transgressing the laws of the United Nations. They must remove the feeling of insecurity and fear of terror from people’s minds. People all around the world must protect this beautiful planet earth… all of its countries and all of humanity, from terrorism and fear. Amma’s abundance of love to you all, my most beloved children. Let us pray and work always for peace.
