2011 Saran Navaratri Saptami Message

May purifying Saraswati with all the plenitude of
her forms of plenty, rich in substance by
the thought, desire our sacrifice.

She, the impeller to happy truths, the awakener
in consciousness to right mentalisings,
Saraswati, upholds the sacrifice.

Saraswati by the perception awakens in consciousness
the great flood (the vast movement of the Ritam)
and illumines entirely all the thoughts.

Amma's Divine Navaratri Saptami Message to Her Children

Today is known as Saptami—it is the Seventh day of the Navaratri Festival, and it is a powerful and sacred day dedicated to the Goddess Saraswati.  This year’s Saptami is extraordinarily special because it occurs during Moola Nakshatra.

(There are 27 nakshatras, or birthstars in Vedic Astrology, one of which is known as Moola). 

Whenever this rare combination occurs, that day experiences a huge increase in spiritual energy.  Amma said that today’s Saptami is 100,000,000 times more powerful than other Saptamis.

Most importantly, you may recall that Amma had mentioned that many birthstars were causing difficulty and challenges this year.  But today our beloved Amma, out of her Boundless Love, performed the Nakshatra Shanthi Homa along with several vedic priests on your behalf and to bring peace to all of humanity.  Amma instructed the priests in the use special mantras to bring about a complete change of the negativity we face into an abundance of Positivity. 

Amma said that on this extremely powerful day, by offering just a single grain of rice into the Sacred Fire, the difficulties, disease, and other challenges caused by our birthstar are completely destroyed!

Amma also performed several other pujas and homas including the powerful Chandi Homa and the Special Saraswati Devi White Lotus Homa on this auspicious day.
