Warm Greetings from our Beloved Amma’s home, the Manidwipa Maha Samsthanam, in Penusila, A.P., India, where the Navaratri Grand Celebrations have just concluded.

The celebrations themselves were indescribable - everyday bringing more and more radiance, grace, bliss, and a palpable spiritual energy to the atmosphere.

Today is Vijayadasami, or the day of victory.  It is the tenth day which follows the nine-night celebrations of Navaratri, and a day remembered as the day that the Divine Mother vanquished the demon Mahishasura, restoring peace to Mother Earth.  

Vijayadasami  is also the birthday of our Beloved Mother, Sri Karunamayi Amma.  The day itself is revered as the most holy day of the Hindu Calendar.  This year Vijayadasami also occurs in conjunction with Sravana Nakshatra, Amma's Birth star, making this a unique and highly auspicious conclusion to Navaratri.

Amma spoke about this sacred day.  She said that 'Vijayadasami, the culmination of the Navaratri festival, is not an end but a beginning.  It is the beginning a more prosperous and spiritual life for us.   This is a day when no negativity can touch you'.

Over the 10 days, a glimpse of Amma's inexhaustible Love and Devotion was evident; She spent every moment of the day (and most of the night) absorbed in prayer, performing Pujas and Homas for our benefit and for World Peace. 

Amma has no work in this world.  She has taken this form and come only for our sake—to elevate and uplift Her children.
