Swami Vijayeswarananda speaks on the spiritual meaning
of Guru Purnima day; a time to honor our own holy teachers,
and all the teachers in througout history in every faith.

The beautiful sanctuary of the Unity Church of Houston
was an inspiring setting for Amma's Guru Purnima.

Amma begins her meditation, inviting everyone to meditate
for world peace and harmony.

World renowned tabla maestro, Abhiman Kaushal accompanies
Amma, as she opens her divine discourse with chants to Sri Ganesha.

Amma's mood of divine love and inspiration flows through
her discourse, and is a healing balm to the hearts of all.

Attendees raise the spiritual energy to the highest chakra
performing the Kamala mudra, which resembles a
lotus flower in full bloom.

Amma's bright, endearing smile before the Sri Pada Puja begins.

Swami Vijayeswarananda begins the sacred Sri Pada Puja,
in which Amma's holy feet are bathed and adorned.

Amma touches receives the kumkum offering from Swamiji.

The beautiful lotuses at Amma's feet symbolize the flowering
of pure consciousness. Their rare beauty is a minute reflection of the
true source of all beauty; Truth, Consciousness, and Bliss.

Swamiji also offers 108 small gold lotus flowers, symbolizing
the golden radiance of Sri Lakshmi Devi, Goddess of harmony,
stability, manifestation, plenty, and universal stability.

Sacred tulsi and lime garlands are laid upon Amma's feet.

Amma is honored with flower garlands by Swamiji.
