During the morning harati to Sri Saraswati, Sri Lakshmi, and Sri Lalita Devi, one can see the many white lotuses that have been offered at Lalita Devi’s lotus feet – “As soon as we have the darshan of the flowers that were offered during Sri Lalita Sahasranama archana, millions of karmas are instantly removed from our shoulders; if we touch those flowers to the sahasrara chakra, immediately we are blessed with millions of merits” ~Amma
The kunda for Chandi Homa is shaped like a heart, which is the seat of consciousness – Divine Mother is “Chidagni Kunda Sambhuta;” She is born from the sacred fire pit of the pure and absolute consciousness
When we offer anything to the bindu of the Sri Chakra, that offering automatically flows down and touches every other part of the Sri Chakra - Sri Lalita Parameswari is “Bindhu Madhya Nivasini;” She dwells within the Sri Chakra bindu, and when we please Her, automatically all the millions of gods and goddesses will be extremely pleased with us
Our beloved Amma holding a white lotus – when we make our hearts as pure and blemishless as a white lotus, Divine Mother will always shine forth from our heart in the form of cosmic love; when we make our throat chakra as radiant as a white lotus, Divine Mother will speak through us
Our beloved Amma meditates for her universal family – “Vasudaika kutambam;” this entire world is one family
Through the sacred worship of the Sri Chakra, Divine Mother’s radiant energy, love and grace flow into the world like an overflowing river of ambrosia
The brilliant flames of the sacred homa fire leap up after the special nine-yard red silk sari is offered

In ancient times, Divine Mother emerged in a radiant and glorious form from a homa kunda after all the gods performed a homa to request Her help in defeating the demon Bhandasura – in this picture, Amma seems to have emerged from the homa fire in order to help us destroy the demons that reside within our own hearts

After the homa, all the Vedic priests gather around Amma and chant Vedic prayers for the happiness and well-being of all the homa sponsors, who sacrificed their own hard-earned money to make all the sacred homa ceremonies possible

Amma enjoys everyone’s devotion during the procession - Divine Mother is “Bhakti Priya” and “Bhakti Vasya;” She is so pleased by devotion and She is utterly captured by our pure devotion
Divine Mother Mahishasura Mardini riding Her tiger vahana – this form of Mother seems to be very fierce; but Her fierceness is only for the sake of destroying adharma and negativity in order to protect all Her innocent children
Amma descends from her mother’s memorial shrine – by meditating on Ammamma’s divine qualities of purity, simplicity, humility, devotion, and service-mindedness, we ourselves can be blessed with those qualities
When we take refuge in this extremely powerful and glorious form of Divine Mother, Sri Mahishasura Mardini will take up Her holy trident and destroy every drop of negativity and limitation in our hearts, until the supreme cosmic consciousness shines forth brilliantly from our entire being
