2006 Tour -
Denver Meditation Retreat and
Individual Blessing Program
June 25-26, 2006

Everyone is lined up to greet Amma as she arrives
at the Denver Meditation Retreat

Amma approaches the hall

Amma greets all the devotees

Amma holds a dove gently in her hands before releasing it

As she releases the dove, Amma is delighted to see it flying free

Just like these beautiful white doves, our pure spirits soar
to new
spiritual heights when we meditate

Amma's divine discourse

Everyone drinks in Amma's nectarean words

In the peaceful and elevated setting of a silent meditation retreat,
Amma's words are absorbed deeply into the heart

Amma takes everyone outside for a Peace March, or Shanti Yatra

It is Amma's firm sankalpa, or resolve, that our
beautiful world should be in peace

Amma has said that peace is extremely important for
everyone, and that
we should guard our personal peace very carefully

As we walk on Mother Earth, the energy of our thoughts leaves us
through the soles of the feet - let us always think peaceful thoughts
in order to give peace to Mother Earth

Om shantih shantih shantihi - May there be peace everywhere!

After meditating in silence all day, it becomes possible
to absorb Amma's divine blessing
very deeply

At the Individual Blessing Program, Amma
performs Sri Chakra Abhishekam with milk

When milk is offered to the bindu of a sphatika Sri Chakra, it absorbs
tremendous cosmic energy, and becomes like a healing medicine when we drink it

Amma gives her divine blessings

Amma enjoys a moment with a sweet baby

Amma carefully reads the questions or concerns on each card

Amma gazes tenderly at a tiny infant baby

Amma gives her divine blessings

Amma comforts a devotee with the yoga
of divine love.

Our beloved Amma smiles gently at a young baby

Amma gives her tender motherly love and her auspicious spiritual blessings

The Denver devotees show their gratitude as they offer
a beautifully decorated arati tray

A special kind of arati is done at the end of the program -
in this arati,
lit camphor is placed on a whole coconut and offered to Amma
