2006 Tour - Columbus Homa and
Individual Blessing Program
June 1-2, 2006

Behind the sacred homa fire, the altar can be seen; the lotus seed malas
resting on the right side of the altar absorb tremendous energy
from the fire before being given to the homa sponsors

During the Vedic homa ceremony, divine energy is invoked in a special way into the fire; it is a tremendous blessing just to see the sacred fire

All raise their hands during the chanting, forming the lotus bud mudra

This mudra draws spiritual energy into the crown chakra

Swamiji shows the purnahuti to Amma before offering it to the fire - homa offerings are never wasted; as they burn, they release special substances charged with radiant spiritual energy into the atmosphere, which brings peace and prosperity to all

Each lady offers five flames on her arati tray - five is an auspicious number that is connected to the five elements as well as to Sri Lalita Parameswari

Amma blesses all with the powerful yajna raksha - homa ash that is mixed into a
paste and applied to the third eye for protection and spiritual purification

By the grace of our beloved Amma, another sacred homa for
universal peace and welfare has been completed

Amma arrives at the Individual Blessing Program

Amma's radiant smile lights up our lives, banishing every kind of darkness

Amma starts the program with milk abhishekam to a crystal Sri Chakra -
the
milk blessed in this manner contains tremendous healing energy

Amma blesses a family

Amma reads the devotee's card - no words can describe
the feeling of Amma's gentle touch on Individual Blessing Day

Amma enjoys some special time with a group of small children

Using a tulasi twig, Amma intiates a young student into Sri Saraswati Mantra - the significance of the tulasi twig is that our words must be as pure as the tulasi plant when we take up the practice of Sri Saraswati Mantra

Amma showers her motherly love on a devotee
