Recently, our beloved Amma made a special trip to bless and comfort Bob Mataloni before she left for India. For those who don't know him, Bob has accompanied Amma on every single US Tour as a member of her traveling crew, and has selflessly offered his service to Amma and all of her devotees year after year. Unfortunately, earlier this year Bob was diagnosed with an advanced and aggressive form of cancer. He has recently begun chemo and radiation treatments.

In the words of the devotee who is helping to take care of Bob during this difficult time:
"It was really amazing to see the powerful effect Amma's presence and words of encouragement had on his spirit and outlook. Before my eyes, I witnessed a transformation of everyone's spirits. She reminded us that positive thinking and prayer account for over ninety percent of the healing process, and that the best thing we can do from this time forward is to offer our prayers and positive thoughts for his recovery. Amma thanks everyone for their love and support and asks that everyone continue with their prayers for her son Bob."
Amma in particular requested those present to give Bob good joke books or any spiritual and uplifting movies. She commented again and again on the importance of maintaining a cheerful attitude in the face of difficulties and mentioned that it is very important to always focus on the positive in life, rather than focusing on any pains or illness. Bob's New Vastu Book Can Be Ordered Through the Mail
Recently, Bob completed a very comprehensive and clearly written book on the important Vedic science of Vastu. The science of Vastu teaches us how to align buildings in harmony with cosmic and earth energies. Amma once told Bob that "people from all walks of life are suffering needlessly because of a lack of awareness" of the principles of Vastu. She then encouraged Bob to help spread awareness of Vastu, so that people could avoid unnecessary difficulties and come into harmony with the sacred energies of Mother Nature. Serving on the Tour Crew requires traveling for 3-4 months out of the year. In order to keep serving Amma and her devotees year after year, Bob has selflessly given up a lot of comfort and financial security. As everyone is aware, treatments for serious illnesses like cancer can be quite expensive. In response to his current financial situation, some of Amma's devotees have created a fund called the Bob Mataloni Health Care Fund (BMHCF). This fund is intended to help offset some of Bob's health care expenses, out of gratitude for the level of service and personal sacrifice undertaken by Bob for the past twelve years.
