Amma’s Christmas message
Swamiji:
Thank you very much for calling and our good wishes for a Merry
and Happy Christmas. We were very much moved by one of the worst
disasters which we had yesterday. Amma was very much moved.
We performed prayers for all the people. And Mother said we
need to help all the victims who have been affected by the tidal
waves yesterday. But anyway, as all of you are ready to listen
to Amma's voice, I will be giving the phone to Amma. But before
that I would like to say a few words about the programs which
we had recently.
We
had a great meditation retreat in Penusila. Many of the people
from the US, the UK and other parts of the world came. We had
a wonderful time with Amma. We were drenched in the nectarean
words of Amma and were inspired a lot by the meditation and
divine discourses. We also had a wonderful tour of Gujarat in
western India, with excellent programs there. And yesterday,
we were at the Peace Village having our first official program,
a one-day meditation retreat. There were lots of people and
we spent the whole day in Amma's presence. We had a wonderful
time! Hope you all are fine, hale and hearty. And hope you all
enjoyed your Christmas holidays. Our belated wishes for a Happy
and Merry Christmas. Now I will hand over the phone to our beloved
Amma. Thank you. Jai Karunamayi!
Amma:
My most beloved, sweet children, I love you babies! I love you
babies! I love you millions and millions of times, I love you
billions and billions of times, I love you trillions and trillions
of times, I love you zillions and zillions of times, I love
you gazillions and countless gazillions of times! Love you,
sweet children, love you beloved children, love you, my babies!
Love you, love you, love you, love you, love you, love you,
I love you! I wish you all a belated Happy and Merry Christmas.
Babies, my sweet children, I am so happy to speak with you.
But also I am so very sorry about the worst disaster which we
had yesterday in southeast Asia. We all had peace prayers for
the departed souls. Last night until 11.30 p.m. we conducted
all the prayers. We felt so sad about what happened. Yesterday
we had a peace meditation retreat in our Peace Village. We thought
about all of you there. You were really with me yesterday. Mentally
all of you are really with me—I feel all of your presence with
me.
Sanatana
Dharma samskriti
(culture) is really like Mother.
In ancient times everything was changeless. But in our modern
world everything is changing. However, the divine culture, the
divine samskriti, is changeless.
In our divine samskriti, Sanatana Dharma,
it has been said that one must worship
these pancha bhutas , the five
elements. The pancha bhutas are
alive. There is life in the pancha bhutas. Everywhere
there is life. Each atom is with life. So do not do any harm
to Mother Earth or the pancha bhutas —the
water, (air, space, earth and fire). In the modern world, we
see a lot of pollution in the oceans and rivers. We are mixing
so many chemicals and causing pollution in the oceans and the
rivers. So, all this (toxic) accumulation is the cause for so
many problems in the sea world and also on the Mother Earth.
These
kinds of disasters are happening according to the (position
of) stars and the planets. We discussed two years ago about
Saturn entering some portion (of the zodiac) and these kinds
of disasters happening in the world. It is so sad. Beautiful
children, during this festival time, the Christmas festival,
in entire India all the people celebrated the Christmas festival
like anything. Everywhere there were beautiful decorations and
lights and people were so happy. And all the people were celebrating
the Vaikunta Ekadashi
festival, and full moon day, and Maha Pournami
festival and Chandi Homas
. Suddenly this disaster occurred
and it was so sad. Innumerable small babies, children, women,
people have died in this disaster. We feel so sad. Children,
we can also pray for everyone's sake. My dear, sweet children,
this is the right time for everyone to pray for everyone's sake
in the world, for world peace. I expect that this entire world
is your family, our family.
You are spiritual—you never discriminate and say that this does
not belong to you. This does belong to everybody. This is our
own family. All the living beings—not only the human beings—all
the living beings belong to our supreme Self. This is Truth,
million times this is Truth. So that's why, we need to love
the people, we need to have the inner connection with all the
souls in the world. Then, the peace in the world will happen.
So that's why you need to pray everyday. In the morning and
also at night before going to bed, we need to pray for world
peace and prayers for healing the world, healing the pancha
bhutas . We need to do this everyday,
especially the Maha Mrutyunjaya Mantra
with love and with devotion from the bottom of our hearts.
My
dear, sweet children, Sanatana Dharma
is changeless. It is changeless.
In Sanatana Dharma
they were told in the olden days itself, “You must worship the
pancha bhutas. ” Why? With the
Sanatana Dharma samskriti
(culture) which was changeless,
what happened to us? If you change the Sanatana Dharma
what will happen to us? This is
the question. Suppose, our mother got sick, what would we do?
We would take her to the doctor and treat her illness. We will
not change our mother, no? So dharma samskriti
is like our mother, our own biological
mother. Mother always teaches us to do only the good things
to her children. “Children, you can do this, children you must
not do this…” So Mother is like your own biological mother.
Sanatana Dharma samskriti
takes you by the hand and She teaches
all the children in the world: “You must worship the pancha
bhutas. Do not pollute the pancha
bhutas. ” And this is the teaching
in Sanatana Dharma —like
Mother. But people never listen to Sanatana Dharma.
That is why these kinds of disasters
happen in our world. We are polluting the rivers and the pancha
bhutas, we are cutting the trees
and there is a lot of global radiation—these kinds of things
are happening in the world. At
least, from now on, if people have respect towards Nature, and
if we love Mother Nature—the trees, animals, birds' kingdom,
everything—then these kinds of disasters are never going to
happen in our world. The pancha bhutas
have also life, eyes, they also have happiness, and anger in
their hearts. We need to understand the feelings, which are
in their hearts.
So, my dear, sweet children, I am so happy to speak with you
on the phone, especially during this Christmas festival time.
My sweet children, love you so much. I wish you a very Happy
New Year to all of my children
in the entire world. During these days we are conducting very
special prayers for all of you everyday— homas
and prayers, peace prayers and meditations. Yesterday, the entire
day (was spent) in silence and many hours of silent meditation.
We were praying for everyone's sake last night until 11.30 p.m.
We are always thinking about all of you. And especially we are
going to do a special homa for
all of your sakes on January 1 st along with anna dana
(feeding the poor), and vastra dana
(distribution of clothes). All these things are going to be
happening on January 1 st in Penusila.
Now
we are in Bangalore. Tomorrow we are going to Penusila. My dear,
sweet children, I love you, children, I love you, children.
I always expect your spiritual elevation, your good health,
your children's progress, peace in your home, peace always in
our entire world. That is our home—“ Vasudaika kutumba,”
according to Sanatana Dharma
samskriti ,
this world is one family. The entire world is our family.
So
we have so many mantras we chanted.
We chanted mantras like Maha
Mrutyunjaya Mantra, Gayatri Mantra, Saraswati Mantra, and
many other mantras. But this
is the greatest mantra we need
to chant: “all the people in the entire world, they belong to
me.” This is one mantra. “I
belong to everybody in the entire world, I love everyone in
the world”—this is our second mantra. So
love everyone from the bottom of your heart. We must love this
world because this world is nothing but our supreme Self only.
Only then the vibrations will change in the world. People will
understand this now. People in the 21 st century will see a
lot of devotion in our world. People are so nice and so good.
So many devoted people are really selfless, and very spiritual.
They never anticipate anything from our society. They are giving
a lot of selfless seva to the
world. We need more and more beautiful divine souls like this
for the progress in the society, for peace in the society.
So
my dear, sweet children, some children are unknowingly making
some mistakes—that is the cause for the commotion in our world.
We need to pray for them also to change their minds, to change
their attitudes, and cause a total transformation in their hearts.
Then the peace will come in our world. That's why we need to
pray everyday sincerely, from the bottom of our hearts, very
sincere prayers—not just the surface prayers. We need very sincere
and very strong prayers to heal our world, to heal the negative
thoughts in people's minds. Then things will be so smooth in
our little world. Among the nine planets, our Mother Earth is
most beautiful. We have so many beautiful ice mountains, snow
mountains, beautiful flower kingdom, beautiful birds' kingdom,
beautiful waterfalls, beautiful rivers—we have so many beautiful
rivers. How beautiful is the ocean! When we make Nature unhappy,
Mother Nature becomes so angry towards her people. So that's
why we need to make this Nature happy with our love. We need
to speak with Nature. If we have love towards Nature—trees,
Mother Earth, and towards these beautiful rivers and oceans,
we will become very noble. Otherwise, there is no love and no
soul connection with the pancha bhutas ,
like Mother Earth, fire, etc. We are worshipping the Fire God,
we are worshipping Mother Nature, we are worshipping the wind,
the sky, all the planets, everybody in the world in the form
of love. Love is the greatest worship, no? So worship is not
taking some flowers in our hands and doing puja.
This isn't just the worship. Having love in our inner heart,
the true love, 100% love—not 99.9% love—100% love in our heart,
that is the true worship towards the pancha bhutas.
We need to have that kind of divine love in our hearts towards
these pancha bhutas .
My
dear, sweet children, you know all these things. You are already
the lovers of Mother Nature, Mother Earth. Especially in India,
wherever we go, we see a lot of plastic materials on the roads.
Plastic is more dangerous than cancer. It is ruining the Mother
Earth's beauty. After twenty or thirty years, the plastic becomes
like a layer, one or two kilometers thick inside Mother Earth.
. When the rains come, the rain never goes into the depth of
Mother Earth. So, it never drains. So, what will happen to the
future generations for water? There is going to be a big problem
for water. I feel so sad. We are giving so many classes and
so many orientations and teachings. Wherever I go I speak about
the plastic and how it is ruining the Mother Earth and how you
must remove all these things. After hundreds of years also the
plastic will remain as it is inside Mother Earth. It will never
be absorbed into Mother Earth. This is so sad; it is like a
demon ruining the Mother Earth. Mother is giving so much to
us. Mother is giving food, flowers, clothes, fruits, everything.
You are taking everything from Mother Earth. It is everyone's
responsibility to take care of our Mother Earth.
So,
my dear children, I am so concerned about our Mother Earth.
And I am so concerned about all of our children's health and
peace on this beautiful water planet, Mother Earth. We need
to save our Mother. Our Mother is a sweet mother, a gentle mother.
Mother is so polite—She never opens Her mouth. How much pollution
we are doing on the Mother, Mother is so kind and so silent
and so sweet. It is our responsibility to take care of our Mother.
So, even people are wasting water—too much wasting of the water.
We need to use the water in a wise way. So that's why all these
things have happened in our world. The pancha bhutas
are so unhappy.
Last
Dasara festival, we had a very
special homa —more than two thousand
varieties of the herbs which heal the pollution in the Mother
Earth and also in the air, and also the healing of the sun.
All the way the atoms travel to the sun and heal the sun spots.
That much of power is contained in these herbs. So that is why
everyday the special homas were
conducted and were so wonderful. The priests came from Sringeri
Pitham. They did a wonderful job. All the homas
were for world peace and to cure the sun spots.
I
am so concerned about our world family, the universal family.
All of my sweet children in our universal family, always, with
each and every breath I think about you, my dear, sweet children.
I have no other work in this world except your service. Amma
always wants to be her children's servant—to serve her sweet
babies. That is only my work. I want to see your cheerful faces,
your happy life, your good life, and unity in our family, in
our universal family. I want to see all of us with happiness.
Just like the festival time, we are together, we are so happy
and we are celebrating the festival, so like that, I want to
see our entire world always in happiness—without any sorrow,
without these wars and commotion. I want to see our little world,
a little family, a small family, in happiness.
My
dear, sweet children, love you babies, love you babies, I always
wish you peace in all the countries, peace in all work places,
peace in the disaster places, and peace in all the continents,
peace in our world, peace in everyone's heart, peace in your
home, peace in your children's hearts, always the eternal peace.
Divine peace is everywhere in our little world. I love you children,
I love you millions and millions of times, billions and billions
of times, trillions and trillions of times, zillions and zillions
of times, gazillions and gazillions of times, countless gazillions
and gazillions of times. Children, love you, love you, love
you, love you, love you, babies, love you, babies, thank you,
babies, love you, babies, love you, children, love you, children,
love you, children!
